About this vehicle:
This is a time-warp 1983 (production date 12/82) Suzuki GS750ES with 5k miles from new. A true survivor, this bike is very nearly 100% stock with very few modifications.

The bike has no signs of crash or tipover damage. It has clearly been parked indoors and well-cared for during its 22 years of life.

It was registered for the first time 1/25/83 and then sold to the 2nd owner 5/31/86 at 3300 miles. The 2nd owner has owned it the last 19 years and has ridden it not quite 2000 miles in that time. The bike has been in the Seattle area since new.

This is not a restored bike, rather, it has always been kept in top condition. In my opinion, it is just a tick below true concours or show condition.

Mechanically, it starts/runs/operates just exactly as it should and feels/looks like 1983 all over again. No oil leaks or untoward engine/transmission sounds. The clutch is smooth and solid. The gearbox is like butter. Brakes operate as well as they did in 1983. It has Michelin A48 tires of an indeterminate age. Plenty of tread but who knows how old they are.

Every control, switch, warning light, gauge, lock, etc., works just as it was designed. That goes for the factory dash-mounted digital gear position indicator as well which works properly in all 5 gears.

Cosmetically, it has a couple issues:

The "Suzuki" emblem on top of the tailsection has come off and is missing. I have ordered a new one (this morning 10/20/05) from the local Suzuki dealer. Of course, it is on backorder so I have also contacted a friend in Japan who will try to source one for me. Should I be able to track one down it will be included with the bike.

The stock mirrors have at some point in the past been replaced with Baren Napolean bar-end style and are not included. The OEM mirrors are available new from the Suzuki dealer for $35 per side.

The stock exhaust has been replaced with a period-correct Bassani Superbike exhaust system model 1-PCA. The stock exhaust is not included.

The forward portion of the left-side engine cover has the beginnings of the aluminum corrosion that happens under the factory clearcoat.

The right side of the fuel tank has the tiniest nick about the size of the head of a matchstick right above the black pinstripe midway in the tank. Not in any way dented, this is a nick in the paint. By the way, the inside of the fuel tank is like new with zero rust.

The black rubber molding around the edge of the windshield is missing however I ordered a new one and it will be included with the bike.

The bike has air adjustable forks which are standard equipment I believe. In the tailsection there is a box containing a genuine Suzuki fork air pressure gauge and pouch. I believe this came with the bike from new but perhaps it was purchased as an accessory... I'm not sure which. In any event, the gauge itself looks like it has never been used. Please don't ask if it works as I am afraid to try it.

The factory toolkit is also present and accounted for. No owner's manual and I only have 1 key for the bike which operates the ignition, steering lock, gas cap, seat release and both helmet locks.
